The Storm Coaster

The Storm Coaster is a breathtaking attraction, a unique first-of-its-kind and record breaking indoor coaster. Located in Dubai Hills Mall, the coaster starts the world’s fastest vertical launch, sending riders over 50m up into the building. From here, the attraction flows through a number of inversions and steep drops as guests try to escape the storm!

The attraction begins with a pre-show where guests are welcomed to the “Sky Deck”, used to observe the weather in Dubai. As guests reach the top of the building, a freak storm hits Dubai and a tornado is heading straight for the guests!

Holovis fully designed and developed this unique preshow, utilising LED screens, audio systems, and a motion platform to create a start to the attraction that’s as intense as the ride itself!

Once guests board the coaster the room comes to life with audio and lighting effects as guests speed away from the storm.
